  • About This How to Remove a Bankruptcy Blog

My name is Janet and I reside primarily in Denver, Colorado. I am writing this credit repair blog on behalf of my husband, who filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy back in January 2001. He has completely recovered from it since then without previous credit repair services and currently has a 750-ish FICO. So what’s the problem, you ask? Why are we trying to get the bankruptcy removed? Is it possible to remove a bankruptcy?

Recently we have gotten extremely ambitious. We started our own business 2 years ago (and it’s doing pretty well, too!) and have educated ourselves on real estate investing and other investment practices to build our nest egg and long-term travel funds! The only problem is, my husband still has that chapter 7 bankruptcy on his credit report.  Even most credit card companies won’t touch him with a 10 foot pole! …nevermind delving into real estate investing - especially with the tightened mortgage restrictions nowadays. Thus, we need to remove his bankruptcy ASAP! That sparked the beginning of this “how to remove a bankruptcy” blog.

My credit history is too short to qualify for any loans since I’m still fairly young, so we’re stuck working with his credit. I’ve always been self-employed and we all know it’s hard to qualify or prove income with self-employment…

This credit repair blog centered around how to remove a bankruptcy will document our success (or lack of). You will know right here “is it possible to remove a bankruptcy”. Please keep in mind, if a bankruptcy can be removed, other things such as foreclosures, repossessions, etc can also be removed. :)
